Beth Monahan former well known Canberra artist now lives at Surf Beach, Batemans Bay. She works in watercolour and mixed mediums as well as inks. However her first love is watercolours for the glowing translucent colours she can achieve. She enjoys the beauty of nature, portraying the many beautiful colours and textures of the Australian Eucalypts, especially the mountain gums of the high country as well as the softer colours of her home garden.
Beth has studied with well known and award winning artist Wayne Roberts, Snowy Mountains artist Carmel McCrow as well as working with Canberra artist Tom Parsons.
Her paintings are represented in private and government department collections in Australia, as well as private collections in U.S.A. United Kingdom and New Zealand. She is a member of The Batemans Bay Art and Craft Society. Beth is a popular mixed media tutor and art exhibition judge.
