Pam is an eclectic artist in that she enjoys a wide variety of subjects and mediums. In the years occupied by family responsibilities and work, Pam enjoyed all the crafts available. Macrame, knitting, crochet, spinning, sewing and gardening have all been part of her life.
Two years at the Canberra School of Art studying pottery was a fulfilling chapter.
Retirement gave Pam the opportunity to follow a life-long love of art. Drawing being a favourite past time - the works of the Heidelberg School and the Impressionists were a source of enjoyment and inspiration.
Once she discovered the pleasure of using mediums, pastel and oils became her favourites.
Attending workshops by noted local artists, among those being Bob Millis, Michael Winters and John Wilson, all with their very own distinctive styles, has provided the grounding for Pam’s own artistic style.
A member of Queanbeyan Art Society for more than 25 years, Pam has filled a number of committee positions in that time. She is also a past member of both Canberra Art Workshop and Artist Society of Canberra., Pam has won numerous art awards, particularly in the oil and pastel sections which she favours.
Now retired from the busy position of Treasurer of QAS, Pam enjoys more time to follow her passion – art in all its forms.
