Jenny Becker
Jenny comes from a family of art teachers and artists. Her aunt painted “Woodchoppers Camp”, the huge painting that is still displayed in the Maldon Library, Victoria, after 50 years.
Jenny began her journey of oil painting under guidance by Ron Reynolds in Victoria, while she was a member of the Diamond Valley Art Society.
In 1999 she moved north, after a career in teaching, and joined the Artists Society of Canberra. Since then she has learnt from John Wilson, John Lacey, Colley Whisson and many others.
She is a versatile oil painter, and has won an ASOC prize for portraiture, but prefers paintings that capture the Australian bush and coastline, as well as its flora and fauna. -
Val Le Maitre

She paints all variety of flora subjects - heritage plants and vegetables along with the beautiful Australian natives with their vibrant flowers and fruits are of particular interest. She has a keen sense of design and colour which brings flair to this traditional subject.Though painting in all mediums - oils, acrylics, pen and ink and pastels - watercolour is now her preferred medium because of its vibrancy and freshness in colours. This allows her to achieve the brilliance and subtlety of colour of the flowers, fruits and birds, especially the Australian native flora and fauna. Many past teachers have had a great influence on Sue’s art and she has challenged herself and the boundaries by observing the different shapes, colours and the individual characters each plant had to offer, including all the imperfections.Sue has exhibited her paintings for many years at the Canberra Botanical Art Exhibition, Peter Crisp’s Glass Gallery and other local exhibitions. Successful entry into the World Wide Exhibition held in conjunction with 14 other countries. Aquisitive painting hanging in the Banksia room at the Canberra Botanical Gardens.

Jannete McGuffog
Janette spent her childhood growing up in the beautiful Flinders Ranges where even at a young age Janette had dabbled with colours. Moving to the Tiwi Islands in the Northern Territory she discovered her talent for capturing nature on canvas. Since moving to Bungendore, Janette has spent the last eight years developing her style as an acrylic and textile artist and has found that flowers are her true passion. She draws inspiration, especially from her beautiful gardens on her property and in the Canberra region. Janette captures her love of colour and beautiful things on her canvases, allowing others to enjoy something special.Janette has been painting in different mediums for over 20 years but now paints in inks over various supports of paper and canvas. Often the support is highly textured and is flooded with the luminous transparency of the coloured inks. Her bright and cheerful pallet now decorates the walls of many owners of her paintings here and overseas.

Denise Moule
Denise is an abstract artist who was born and bred in Canberra. She describes her art style as ‘Geometric Abstraction’.
She creates simply from the heart and inner guidance. She loves the spontaneity of the moment a time when ideas float, and her hands seem to be guided. Inspiration comes from being in the moment and being aware of her surroundings. The ideas come from architecture, nature, shadows, reflections, and more. With a passion for detail and precision, a story always seems to quietly emerge. Each work can flow between abstract, semi-abstract, or a touch of realism.
Denise uses acrylic flow paint, ink pens, and various geometric tools to create her pieces. The surface is stretched Arches of watercolor paper and sometimes canvas. Her palette is minimal and selective. The black fine lines give each piece a crisp finish and balance.
There is ‘space’ for each piece to almost float.

Gay Mouat
The artist was born in West Wyalong, a small town in central N.S.W.
Growing up in a family that encouraged drawing and creativity and being self-taught results in a unique style as the artist prefers to use oil as a medium. In the past few years, the use of a brush has given way to using a palette knife, this reflects in the artwork giving more texture to many creations.
My paintings are often an evolution from start to finish, that allows me to express my life experiences through art. I aim to communicate the important aspects of a story using composition, contrast and technique. These journeys allow me to explore the world around me and share the adventure with the viewer.
